Albums help you manage your photos because you can create albums from any photos you like. One photo can also be registered to multiple albums. This is convenient because it allows you to, for example, create collections of only your favorite photos, prepare albums for different uses, and use albums according to purpose.

To create an album, click on [+] in the “My Albums” column, and then click on [New Album]. A new album is created in the “My Albums” column. Specify an album name and then drag and drop the photos you want to register onto the new album.

Note:

You can store up to 200 photos per album with a Free Account and up to 10,000 photos per album with a Gold Account (monthly fee).

Memo:

In addition to an increase in the number of photos you can store in a single album, there are a number of other benefits to upgrading to a Gold Account. For details, refer to What are the benefits of the Gold Account?.

• Depending on the settings of an album sent to you by a my Picturetown member (herein referred to as “Albums Shared with Me”), certain image sizes may not be available for download or you may not be able to download the photos at all.
• If the sharing status for an “Albums Shared with Me” is canceled, photos from that album cannot be displayed.
• Received albums that exceed 1 GB in size cannot be downloaded at one time from the guest page. Follow the instructions in the [Download] screen to download the files in parts. (Registered my Picturetown members can select photos for download individually from “Albums Shared with Me” in the [My Photos] screen.)

You can register only the albums or photos you want to share as shared albums, and notify the planned recipient by email. When the recipient receives the sharing invitation email, they can view the shared album by simply clicking the URL in the email, even if they are not my Picturetown users.

To share albums and photos, select the albums and photos and then click the (share) icon at the bottom of the [My Photos] screen. When the [Set the sharing method] screen appears, select [share email], enter the necessary information, and click [Send].

Flash Player must be installed on your computer in order to use my Picturetown. You can download Flash Player from the Adobe Flash Player download site.

This page describes the main buttons and display columns of the “My Photos” window.

1. [Home] button

Returns to the Home window of my Picturetown.

2. [My Photos] button

Opens the “My Photos” window.

3. Settings button

Displays the Settings menu containing Account Settings and other items. Each item in the Settings menu displays the corresponding settings screen.

4. Help button

Displays the help.

5. [Log Out] button

Logs out from my Picturetown.

6. Select search method button

Selects the search method for photos.

• : Searches by photo uploaded date or shooting date (Calendar Search).
• : Searches for photos by favorites rating (stars) (Favorites Search).
• : Searches by keyword (Text Search).

7. Select background color column

Selects the background color for the photo display column.

8. Sort by list

Changes the order of photos displayed in the photo display column.

9. Change thumbnail size button

Changes the thumbnail display size for display in grid view.

10. Select display method column

Selects the display method for photos.

• : Displays the thumbnail images and the file names and favorites ratings in a list (Grid View).
• : Displays the thumbnail images and the file names and detailed information (file size, created date, etc.) of the photos in a list (List View).
• : Displays only one large thumbnail image and the file name and favorites rating (Single View).
• : Indicates the location information added to a photo with a marker on a map (Map View).

11. [Upload] button

Registers (uploads) photos to my Picturetown.

12. [All Photos] button

Displays all of the photos registered to my Picturetown. The total number of photos is displayed in ( ).

13. [Recent Uploads] button

Displays the photos that were last uploaded. The number of recently uploaded photos is displayed in ( ).

14. [My Albums] display column

Displays a list of the albums or folders in which photos are managed. Clicking an album or folder displays the photos in the selected album or folder.

15. [My PhotoMovies] display column

Displays the created PhotoMovies in a list.

16. [Inbox] display column

Displays share invitation mail and notifications from my Picturetown in a list.

17. Photo display list

Displays photos.

18. Function button

Selecting a photo or album and then clicking this button allows you to use various functions.

• : Downloads the selected photo or album.
• : Display the information of the selected photo or album.
• : Plays the selected photo or album as a slideshow.
• : Allows you to share the selected photo or album with family and friends.
• : Creates a PhotoMovie.
• : Deletes the selected photo or album.

Using my Picturetown Uploader, you can easily upload multiple images by drag & drop operation.

To upload with my Picturetown Uploader, click on the [Upload] button in the My Photos page. When the my Picturetown Uploader window appears, drag and drop the image file you want to upload.

my Picturetown Pad allows you to view your vast collection of photos anytime, anywhere on your iPad’s crisp display.

It also supports Map View and video playback, allowing you to enjoy my Picturetown’s extensive features away from your computer.

Register a new account by following the directions in "Registering".

The differences in the services included with Free Accounts and Gold Accounts (monthly fee) are as follows. If you want to use all the features my Picturetown has to offer and enjoy your photos even more, consider upgrading to a Gold Account.

Open the email that you received, and click [View photos] to display the album in the guest page.

• If the album is password protected, enter the password you received from the sender.
• my Picturetown members can also view the photos from “Albums Shared with Me” in the [My Photos] screen.

Notes:

If the sharing status of an album you received (i.e., “Albums Shared with Me”) is canceled by the sender, you will no longer be able to display the photos in that album.

• Cannot download from the [My Photos] screen
  You cannot download more than 1 GB worth of files at one time. When selecting files for download, make sure that the total size is 1 GB or less.
  Depending on your operating environment, downloading may take longer or errors may occur.

• Cannot download from the guest page
  When downloading from a guest page received in a sharing invitation email, only batch downloading is possible (i.e., you cannot select specific photos for downloading). Therefore, if a shared album exceeds 1 GB in size, downloading is not possible.
  To download the photos from a shared album in smaller batches, log into my Picturetown, and select up to 1 GB worth of photos for download from [Albums Shared with Me] in the [My Photos] screen.

A GPS log is a record of travel data that is calculated using GPS.
These logs can be recorded using cameras that support GPS logs and GPS loggers.

By displaying the [GPS Log Information] screen in my Picturetown’s Map View, you can use GPS log information to view travel routes and changes in elevation during your trips. By viewing these together with your photos, you to recall and relive your travel experiences more vividly.

To display the [GPS Log Information] screen, switch to Map View from the [My Photos] screen, and click the GPS log information icon that appears at the bottom of the screen.

The following functions are available in the [GPS Log Information] screen.

• Uploading GPS log files：Click the (Upload GPS Log) icon.
• Downloading GPS log files：Click the (Download GPS Log) icon.
• Using GPS logs to view changes in elevation：Click the (Elevation) icon.
• Using GPS logs to display animations of travel routes (GPS log playback)：Click the (Play GPS Log) icon.
• Deleting GPS logs：Click the (Delete GPS Log) icon.
